The public is welcome to a reception on Friday, August 6 from 6–9 pm. at the Captain Roland Roberts House Environmental Center in New Plymouth, Green Turtle Cay. The event is being organized to celebrate another year of protecting Green Turtle Cay’s coral reefs through the reef mooring buoy program, the coral survey and operation of the Captain Roland Roberts House Environmental Center by the nonprofit coral reef conservation organization Reef Relief.

During the reception, Green Turtle Cay resident David L. Bethell will be honored for his recent selection as a Disney Wildlife Conservation Hero. He was nominated by Reef Relief and selected by the Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund. There will be a silent auction, refreshments, and opportunities to get involved in coral reef protection projects.
