With 4 weeks down and 5 weeks left to go, this summer at Reef Relief is all about Coral Camp! Each week 25 campers join us at our center in downtown Key West for days packed with learning, exploring, and fun! Over 200 campers are joining us this summer for week long sessions that include field trips all over the island and the surrounding waters. We even added an extra snorkel day this year to include some time in the sponge gardens and seagrass beds that are so important to our coral reef ecosystem.
So far this summer our campers have been lucky enough to see some sharks, rays, and countless other beautiful and unique fish. They have also seen corals, sponges, and other invertebrates that make their home near our shores.
We are so looking forward to continue our exploration of this wonderfully unique ecosystem we are lucky enough to be surrounded by and we can’t wait to continue to share these experiences with our campers for the next few weeks!
