The Sea pansy (Renilla reniformis) is a colonial organism. The colony has one large central polyp (“peduncle”) that anchors the Sea Pansy to the ocean bottom. A larger fleshy area is made up of smaller anemone-like feeding polyps and tentacle-less polyps. Learn more (fact source)
